Forest Bathing Walk
Sands E. Main Street PrairieEast Main Street, east of Decker DriveTake part in a slow, mindful walk that will help you awaken your senses and connect with nature. There are plenty of benefits to immersing yourself in nature through a forest therapy walk (also called forest bathing). You can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, boost immunity, and increase feelings of calm and gratitude. Walks are not strenuous and cover less than half a mile. Participants will be guided through a series of gentle invitations to slow down, be present, and explore nature through the senses. The program will finish with a “forest tea” featuring tea made from locally harvested plants. Each walk will be different, so feel free to join more than one!
