Lions Park Pavement Project
Beginning on January 25, 2024, the Cary Park District “the Park District”) is accepting bids for the following project:
LIONS PARK PAVEMENT PROJECT
The project will include replacement of the asphalt surfacing at Lions Park. The work is generally described as follows:
Site improvements for Lions Park Pavement Project which includes, HMA binder course, HMA surface course, pavement underdrains and structures, concrete curb replacement and ADA access flat work, HMA milling, full depth HMA reclamation with sub base preparation & cement stabilization, access drive widening, landscape restoration and all legal haul off as necessary, and miscellaneous improvements as detailed on the plans and described in the project manual.
Sealed bids should be marked on the outside: “SEALED BID: LIONS PARK PAVEMENT PROJECT.” Sealed proposals will be received on or before February 13, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. to the Cary Park District, Director of Planning and Development, Mr. David Raica, 255 Briargate Road, Cary, Illinois, 60013. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the time.
Bids submitted by fax, electronic, or telephone means will not be considered. A proposal guarantee or bid bond is not required.
Contractor is responsible for all measurements, compliance with all specifications and contract terms, and to inspect the site to verify the scope of the work to be bid. The Owner has determined that the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act applies to this work and therefore Contractor shall comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and shall pay, and require every Subcontractor to pay, the prevailing rates of wages as established by the Illinois Department of Labor for each craft or type of work needed to execute the contract in accordance with 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. The Contractor is advised that the Department revises the prevailing wage rates and the Contractor/subcontractor has an obligation to check the Department’s web site for revisions to prevailing wage rates. The successful bidder shall also comply with all laws, statutes, regulations, ordinances, rulings, or enactments of any governmental authority which are applicable to the work or the project.
In determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, the Cary Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and to rely upon all publicly available information.
Prequalification of bidders in accordance with Check Sheet LRS6 of the Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions will be required of all bidders on this proposal. IDOT prequalification in category 003 HMA Plant Mix will be required of all bidders on this proposal. MBE/WBE/PBE and Section 3 firms are encouraged to submit proposals.
