National Trails Day, sponsored by the American Hiking Society, is the country's largest celebration of trails. This day increases awareness about trails and celebrates the hard work and support of many people and partners including volunteers, land agencies, and outdoor minded businesses who take care of America's trails.
There are approximately 12 miles of trail throughout the community. The Cary Park District, Village of Cary, and Cary Consolidated School District 26 have build and currently maintain certain portions of the community trails system.
