Yoga For All

This program includes Hatha yoga postures, techniques, and sequences for flexibility, strength, postural alignment, increased energy, and overall health. Beginners are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement. We also encourage you to bring your own props.
This is an ongoing program. It is held on Fridays between 8:00-9:10 am.

Community Center255 Briargate RoadCary, IL 60013Let your imagination run wild with the world of drama and develop self-awareness, self-confidence, creativity, and group cooperation. This action-packed program explores drama through movement, imagination, group games, and story playing. Using puppets and props children practice and perform classic children’s stories. Learn to be “characters” and be comfortable pretending in class.
The program will be held on Tuesdays, 9/5 - 9/26 between 4:00-4:45 pm.
Adult Tot Sports–

Kaper ParkParents are an integral part of helping their tots develop basic sports movement and motor skills. Motor skill activities focus on hand/eye and hand/foot coordination. Sports equipment and instruction are provided to help guide your child through an introduction to organized sports. Parent or caregiver participation required.
The program will be held on Tuesdays, 9/5 - 10/10 between 5:00-5:30 pm.
Total Sports–
Total Sports
Kaper ParkDevelop new skills and confidence in a total sports class! This class features a new sport each week. Some of the sports taught and played include basketball, floor hockey, football, kickball, soccer, and baseball. In addition, participants play popular running and group games.
The program will be held on Tuesdays, 9/5 - 10/10 between 5:30-6:15 pm.
Children's Theater Company of Cary–
Children's Theater Company of Cary
Community Center255 Briargate RoadCary, IL 60013Develop confidence, creativity, and stage presence while participating in a Cary Park District directed performance. Learn what it takes to make theater magic happen in a fun, yet driven environment. Students audition for a role in the play, are cast by the director, and will rehearse until show time. All students are guaranteed a speaking role in the play. Students will also play games while working on impromptu, projection, and listening skills. Students must be available for all rehearsals and the performance day. Tech week will take place the 10/30-11/3. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled as needed. Performance date is November 3.

Join us right from your living room as we explore new cultures and learn the Spanish language via the interactive Zoom platform! Each session covers new material taught live by a Language in Action, Inc. instructor. Zoom login information will be emailed to participants before the first class.

This class includes instruction on all major volleyball skills: serving, passing, setting, and attacking. Daily scrimmages will allow players to use these skills in a game environment.

Jr. Flag Football

Kaper ParkJoin in on the fun and start playing the nation’s most loved game! Players are introduced to stance, receiving, rushing, blocking, and defense. Each week ends with a scrimmage encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship. Games focus on fundamentals and field concepts, as well as, positions and mechanics. No equipment necessary.

Kaper ParkPlayers experience daily scrimmages with active instruction and tips from the coaching staff. Players are encouraged to employ skills used in football such as running pass routes, play calling, defensive positioning, fundamentals of blocking, and pass coverage. These skills and others will be put to use in a “game time” environment while the players scrimmage each week.

This fun program will allow your child to release energy, make friends, and keep moving. Players will be placed on a team prior to the first practice. Each participant should bring shin guards and will receive a t-shirt. Registration deadline is 8/30. Make up day is scheduled for 10/14.
The program will be held on Saturdays, 9/9 - 10/7 between 9:00-9:45 am for both age groups.

Parents or caregiver participation is required. Participants should bring their own gloves if desired.
The program will be held on Saturdays, 9/9 - 10/14 between 10:00-10:30 am.
