Little Veterinarian School - Cat
Students will role play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and perform a whiskers-to-tail exam on their newly “adopted” plush cat. Your future veterinarian will learn about animal body language, maintaining a healthy environment such as proper litterbox placement, create a cat toy, and design a vet clinic.

Little Veterinarian School - Dog
After “adopting” their very own plush puppy, students will role play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian including how to properly perform a nose-to-tail exam. Your future veterinarian will learn how to sew stitches, remove ticks, make healthy treats, and vaccinate their dog. No class 1/16.

Students can learn all about horses and their care from the Little Medical School Equine program. Students will adopt and name their plush horse and learn the anatomy and maintenance of a horse. They will also learn basic horse nutrition, riding styles, gaits, and role-play the basic key responsibilities of an equine veterinarian.

Take to the skies and experience the growing extreme sport! Join the Cary Park District at the indoor skydiving facility in Rosemont for 2 individual sky diving experiences. Participants must be 40’ tall and weigh less than 300 lbs. Trip will leave from and return to the Community Center.

It’s the smile your child will have as he or she gets to explore the fun artistic world of Young Rembrandts cartooning. Your child will laugh and learn while drawing our fun superhero expressions lesson in January. Then jump for joy and spring into action with the heroic unlikely heroes lesson in February. Finally in March there is no better way to prepare for spring with a birds vs. worm drawing sequences. There’s no better time than now to register your child to have fun, be challenged artistically, and to create amazing pieces of artwork.

Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children’s motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time.
