Zoom Spanish for Kids
Join us right from your living room as we explore new cultures and learn the Spanish language via the interactive Zoom platform! Each session covers new material taught live by a Language in Action, Inc. instructor. Zoom login information will be emailed to participants before the first class.
Ages 3-6 years
The program will be held on Mondays, July 15 - August 5 between 5:00-5:45 pm OR Thursdays, July 18 - August 8 between 9:30-10:15 am OR 5:00-5:45 pm.
Ages 7-11 years
The program will be held on Mondays, July 15 - August 5 between 6:00-6:45 pm OR Thursdays, July 18 - August 8 between 10:30-11:15 am OR 6:15-7:00 pm.

Young Rembrandts Art Camp - Underwater Explorers Cartooning Workshop
Underwater exploration comes to life in this 5-day cartoon workshop. Follow our four cartoon characters as they explore the deep blue sea. Students draw the cartoon characters in their underwater sea station, draw jokes about life on the job, and illustrate other crazy encounters with Sketch and his animal friends. Cartooning techniques like expression, sequencing, and scenic development are just a few of the hilarious lessons learned all workshop long.
This program will be held Monday-Friday, July 15 - 19 between 9:00 am-Noon.

Let's Code It - Creative Coding
Your child will have a blast in this exciting new STEM program. Our innovative approach to coding will spark your child’s interest in computer science, using a simple, relatable, block-based programming system called Scratch developed by MIT Media Lab. The fun-filled curriculum stresses critical thinking, creativity, confidence, teamwork, and problem solving skills to prepare them for the 21st century and beyond. Class topics include video game design, loops, control structure, conditional expressions, control statements, object oriented design concepts, data structures and variables, and mathematical expressions. This program is a co-op with Crystal Lake Park District and the Lake in the Hills Park & Recreation Department. This program will be held at Woodscreek Program Facility, 1420Willow Tree Drive in Crystal Lake.
The program will be held Monday - Friday, July 15 - 19 between 10:00 am-Noon.

The Thrills & Chills of Ice Cream Science and History - A Yummy Lab Experience
Making and eating ice cream is a fun way to introduce early physics and chemistry teachings to children. Kids can become an expert on this beloved treat and billion-dollar business as we make a batch of homemade ice cream in a bag. Also, explore the science of the amusement park treat, Dippin’ Dots and the first novelty ice cream treat on a stick. Then sit down for the most outrageous ice cream eating contest in town. Who will be crowned King or Queen? This is a child’s dream class that puts the fun back into learning and building self-esteem. This class explores both chemical and industrial engineering concepts, along with how this treat evolved. This class will be sticky, please dress accordingly. A themed souvenir is included. This is a co-op program with Crystal Lake Park District and the Lake in the Hills Recreation Department. This program is held at Woodscreek, 1420 Willow Tree Drive in Crystal Lake.
