Down on the Farm - Golden Oaks Dairy Farm Visit in Wauconda
Get moooooving!!! Join us for a refreshing and educational outing to a local dairy farm! We will start with a guided tour that offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, learn about modern dairy farming, and enjoy the serene countryside. Our visit will include a gentle walking tour of the farm, where participants can see cows being milked, learn about how milk is processed, and interact with friendly farm animals. There will be plenty of opportunities for questions and photo-taking. Some tour highlights include animal care, milk production, crops and feeding, and recycling. Bring your sense of curiosity and let’s explore! After the farm we will head to a self-pay lunch nearby. Transportation is by Cary Park District bus. Moderate walking involved with this trip. Registration deadline is October 2 and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.
