Join Miss Carol for a morning of crafting, singing, and story time. Each session will focus on a theme for the craft project, story, and songs. Have fun interacting with your child and others in this relaxed and welcoming environment. Please wear appropriate clothing for creating art projects. Today's theme is Fun on the Farm!

The Lil’ Dribblers basketball program introduces children to the game of basketball in a safe, fun and exciting environment. Our curriculum uses age appropriate activities and games specifically designed to increase balance, body awareness, motor skills, hand eye coordination, listening skills and the ability to follow directions. The Lil’ Dribblers program includes exclusively designed equipment tailored to enhance the basketball experience for each participant. The program challenges children to develop new cognitive, physical and social skills. In addition, each child will experience social interaction with children and adults in a fun environment.

Have your child’s first hockey experience be a blast! To ensure a safe environment, Pee Wee Floor Hockey players play with pillow polo sticks, which have a soft-cushion end. Participants learn the basics of the game and experience the thrills of being a hockey player!

Non-resident registration for the Cary Park District Preschool begins today. Registration must include a copy of your child's birth certificate and a $60 non-refundable yearly registration fee for each child. Multiple child discounts are available. After “adopting” their very own plush puppy, students will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian, including how to properly perform a nose-to-tail exam. These future veterinarians will learn how to sew stitches, remove ticks, make healthy treats, and vaccinate their dogs.
The program will be held on Mondays, March 4 - April 15 between 4:15-5:15 pm.

Through role-play and activities, students will learn the key responsibilities of a doctor and explore the heart, lungs, and digestive system. Students will use real medical instruments (stethoscope, reflex hammer, and blood pressure cuff) and practice scrubbing, suturing, and tying knots like a real surgeon.

Students will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and perform a whiskers-to-tail exam on their newly “adopted” plush cat. These future veterinarians will learn about animal body language and maintaining a healthy environment such as proper litterbox placement, create a cat toy, and design a vet clinic.

Foster your child’s love for art and nurture their drawing skills with a Young Rembrandts cartoon drawing class. Your child’s artistic fire will be ignited as they learn animation techniques through anime-theme expressions and characters. The January session will focus on transforming ordinary cameras into lively cartoon characters through personification and storytelling through drawings with humorous drive-thru sequences and colorful pinata scenes. The March session will delight students as they learn how to draw dynamic figures and action filled scenes inspired by flowers and animals.
This program will be held on Tuesdays, March 5 - April 16 between 5:30-6:30 pm.
