Cool off with the Cary Area Public Library for a Splash Pad Storytime at Kaper Park. The storytime will feature stories, rhymes, music, and movement followed by the Splash Pad opening at 10:00 am. Registration is not required.

Mr. Myers
Mr. Myers blends tropical sounds of calypso and ska, the rhythms of reggae and a little rock-n-roll with some favorite classic tunes to create their own special style of music – Caribbean Rock. The band’s upbeat sound creates a carefree mood and their cleverly arranged cover tunes and energetic original songs get audiences on their feet in no time!

This exciting program from Afterschool Enrichment Solutions brings together elements of science, art, and math in a hands-on, action-packed environment. Students will conduct experiments, play educational games, and unlock their creativity through building challenges and projects. No experience necessary. This program is a co-op with Crystal Lake Park District and the Lake in the Hills Park & Recreation Department.
This program will be held Monday - Friday, June 24 - 28 between 10:00 am - Noon.

Broadway is a musical theatre style dance class using techniques found in Broadway musical productions. Dancers will learn prop work, character building, acting for dancers, along with dance techniques to execute these performances.

Contemporary/Lyrical are expressive and powerful forms of dance that heavily relies on the technique and skills learned in both ballet and jazz to execute its techniques. Students in these classes will form bonds with their classmates through the storytelling of each song played and the emotions they are asked to convey. Classes include improvisation, floor work, combinations, center, across the floor, partner lifts, and more.
The program will be held on Mondays, June 24 - August 5 between 4:45-5:45 pm.

Summer is finally here! Gathering around the firepit is a seasonal favorite, but this time we are gathering around our bowls to have the slime of our life with s’mores scented slime! Our slime will smell like melting marshmallows over a campfire and have the perfect ooey gooey stretch. All participants will leave with perfectly stretchy slime in a souvenir jar. But that’s not all! We will end class with a s’mores themed taste testing bar. This will be a memorable sensory sensation kickoff to summer. This is a co-op program with Crystal Lake Park District and the Lake in the Hills Recreation Department. This program is held at Woodscreek, 1420 Willow Tree Drive in Crystal Lake.

Bring your favorite floats to relax in the pool. Root beer float will also be available for purchase while supplies last. Registration is encouraged but not required.
Sunburst Bay Aquatic Center will be hosting several special events this summer. For certain events a minimum amount of participants is needed to offer it. Pre-registering for these events are encouraged to ensure that the event will run. If the minimum amount is not met, the event may be cancelled. On-site registration is accepted for events if space is still available. Registration is accepted online, at Sunburst Bay, and at the Community Center. Season passes, punch cards, and guest/complimentary passes are not accepted for these events.

Hip-Hop is a style of dance constantly evolving with the culture of hip-hop music. Classes learn all different styles of hip-hop by doing different combinations each week from different genres. Dancers use some breaking moves and tricks to enhance the dances.
