Armchair Traveler
Spend a couple of hours on an epic adventure. Experience all the sights, sounds, and culture and never leave your seat. On Tuesday, March 14 we will travel to Ireland. Join us from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at the Community Center. Registration is required.
Positivity Rock Painting
Help us spread good thoughts and positivity while you have some creative fun. We supply the rocks and paint, and you become the artist. All decorated rocks will be placed in the Community Center flower beds for everyone to enjoy. This paint party will be held on Thursday, March 23 from 10:00 – 11:30 am. This activity is free, but registration is required.
Lunch Out Group
Join the Cary Park District for lunch and great socialization at area restaurants. Meals are off the menu and self-pay. You may take the Cary Park District bus from the Community Center or drive on your own and meet the group at the restaurant. On Tuesday, March 21 we will be travelling to and dining at Bulldog Ale House in Algonquin. Registration is required to be included in the reservation. The bus will depart from the Community Center at 11:15 am and we will return at approximately 2:30 pm. The reservation at the restaurant is for 11:45 am. The fee to take the bus is $5 for Cary Park District residents and $6 for non-residents. Whether you are taking the bus or meeting at the restaurant, registration through the Park District is required to be included in the overall reservation count.
Souper Duper Fridays
Enjoy a delicious bowl of soup and after pay to play BINGO on Friday, March 10. Bingo begins at 10:00 am and is $2 per bingo card. Enjoy a free bowl of soup at the break. You must register to attend. Registration is accepted at the Community Center. Souper Duper Fridays is sponsored by The Pointe at Eastgate.
Algonquin Commons Shopping & Lunch at Jiang’s Mongolian Grill
Enjoy an afternoon of shopping in Algonquin Commons with friends. Stop by Barnes & Noble, Bath & Body Works, Claires, DSW Shoes, The Loft, Maurices, and many more. After shopping we will head for a self-pay lunch at Jiang’s Mongolian Grill. This trip is held Thursday, March 9. We will depart from the Community Center at 10:00 am and return approximately at 3:00 pm. Transportation is by Park District bus. The fee is $12 for Cary Park District residents and $14 for non-residents. Registration deadline is March 2 and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.
Lunch at Bleuroot and Shopping at Half Full Nest Vintage Market
Start the day at Half Full Nest Vintage Market in West Dundee where you will find one of a kind treasures and unique home décor. After shopping we will head to Bleuroot for a self-pay lunch. This trip is held Thursday, April 6, departing the Community Center by Park District bus at 10:00 am and returning at approximately 3:00 pm. Registration fee is $12 for Cary Park District residents and $14 for non residents. Registration deadline is March 31 and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.
