The Cary Park District’s Kraus Senior Center, 441 W. Main Street, offers a wide variety of low-cost programs, events and trips for seniors. Senior Center hours are 8:30 am to 1:30 pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. For more information about the events and programs at the Senior Center call 847-639-8118. All programs take place at the Senior Center unless otherwise noted.
EVENTS AND PROGRAMS
Flag Day Celebration
Celebrate the adoption of the stars and stripes as the official U.S. Flag on Friday, June 14 from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm at the Kraus Senior Center. Dine on a luncheon of oven fried chicken, roast potatoes, corn, three bean salad and dessert. After lunch, enjoy a Patriotic Musical Performance by Steve Askins. Patriotic tunes as well as old favorites will be performed. What a great way to start the summer season! Cost is $11 for residents and $12 for non-residents. Registration deadline is June 7.
Lunch Out Group
Enjoy an afternoon of food and fellowship as the “Lunch Out Group” travels to ZaZa Tavola in Lake Barrington on Tuesday, June 25. Transportation departs from the Park District Community Center at 11:15 am and returns at approximately 2:30 pm. Meals are off the menu and self-pay. Transportation fee is $5 for residents and $6 for non-residents. Registration deadline is June 18 and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.
Souper Duper Fridays
Join us for a FREE bowl of soup and a slice of bread on the first Friday of the month. Soup will be served at 11:00 am on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Our next Souper Duper Friday will be Friday, June 7.

Lift your spirits and raise your voice in song. No experience necessary, no tryouts, no pressure. Everyone is welcome to participate as this program is designed for fun and socializing.
