The days are getting shorter while the nights grow long. To get you into the autumn spirit, enjoy several fun fall events to attend with your friends and family!
Fall-A-Palooza
A full offering of fall activities await you including hayrides, pony rides, kids crafts, pumpkin patch, games, food trucks, music by a DJ, and more. A petting zoo with a wide variety of animals for you to meet, pet and feed is also available. Plus, come in costume and enjoy the Trick-or-Treat Trail. Don’t forget to bring your camera and take advantage of the many wonderful photo opportunities you will discover during your visit! This event will be held on Sunday, October 1 between 10:00 am-2:00 pm. Entrance fee is $13 per child ages 2 and older and $9 for children 1 year old. Admission is free for children under 1 year old and for adults. Please pay at the event.
Hayrides at Hoffman Park
Experience a full evening of fall fun and begin a new autumn tradition to share with your family and friends. Hayrides are offered Friday and Saturday nights from October 6-28. Hayride reservations include a 45 minute ride and 30 minutes of campfire time to roast marshmallows and make s’mores. When registering, please indicate your preferred date and time slot. Hayrides are offered on Fridays (October 6, 13, 20, and 27) at 6:00 pm, 6:45 pm and 7:30 pm and on Saturdays (October 7, 14, 21, and 28) at 5:15 pm, 6:00 pm, 6:45 pm, and 7:30 pm. All hayrides are located in Hoffman Park and participants should meet at the Dog Park Shelter off West Main Street. Cost is $9 per person or $140 for groups of 20. Register
Crafting with Miss Carol – Halloween Fun!
Join Miss Carol at the Community Center on Saturday, October 14 between 9:15-10:00 am for a morning of crafting, singing, and story time. Have fun interacting with your child and others in this relaxed and welcoming environment. Activities for this class are all inspired by Halloween. Crafting with Miss Carol is designed for children ages 3-4 years with a parent/caregiver present. Cost for this class is $24 for Cary Park District residents and $36 for non-residents. Register
Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade
This event is for our furry 4-legged friends but is fun for the whole family! On Wednesday, October 25, dress your pup in costume and bring them over to Lions Park to join the parade. The event begins at 5:30 pm with line-up starting at 5:15 pm. Dogs must be leashed to participate in the event and will receive a doggy treat bag afterward. The cost to participate is $5 per dog. Halloween Drawing Event
Join Young Rembrandts on Thursday, October 26 and create a spooky masterpiece to hang up at home! This drawing event is designed for children ages 6-12 years and will be held from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Community Center. The cost to participate is $21 for Cary Park District residents and $30 for non-residents. Register
Pumpkin Roll, Pumpkin Smash
Recycle your pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns in a fun way! On Saturday, November 4 between 10:00 am-Noon, bring your pumpkins to Lions Park and compete with others as you roll them down the sled hill or demolish it in the pumpkin smash. This event is free to attend. All ages are welcome. Registration is not required.
