Aspiring young dancers can pirouette like a ballet princess, pop and lock like a hip hopper, or dance and act in swing choir and so much more through Cary Park District’s Dance Program.
The well-rounded dance program focuses on fun in every class. In addition to practicing dance movement and techniques, students gain new friendships, increase confidence and creativity, and improve large motor skills. Dancing is an excellent way for children to exercise, increase flexibility, strength, endurance, and to develop a sense of well-being. Cary Park District’s broad class schedule includes ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, lyrical, swing choir, and combination classes to choose from. View the entire schedule
Classes are held Tuesday through Saturday at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Rd. Enrollment age starts as young as 2 years old so it’s never too soon to introduce your child to the experience of dance. Classes begin as early as September 26. Dancers have an opportunity to showcase their talents in a winter dance showcase held Saturday, December 7 at Cary-Grove High School.
