Color Me Mine and Benedict’s La Strata, Crystal LakeGet your creative juices flowing and join us for a relaxing outing to a local ceramic painting studio, where you’ll have the chance to choose a ceramic piece (self pay) and make it your own. No experience is needed — just come ready to paint, chat, and have fun while creating a keepsake you’ll be proud to take home. Once the pieces are fired, they will be brought back to the Community Center for convenient pickup one to two weeks later. After painting, we’ll walk to a nearby restaurant for a self-pay lunch. Estimated return time 2:30pm. Registration deadline is June 24 and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.

Weekly swim days and field trips are also part of the fun.
Our camp counselors are a mix of experienced and enthusiastic high school students, college students, and adults. They foster a non-competitive environment where kids can relax, have fun, and simply enjoy being kids. Many of our counselors have been with the Park District and camp program for several years.

Lunch Out GroupJoin us for good food and great socialization at area restaurants. Participants will order off the menu and self-pay. Transportation by Cary Park District bus is available for $5 resident/$6 non-resident fee and leaves from the Cary Park District Community Center or you can drive yourself for $5 resident/$6 non-resident fee (see reservation time below). Return time is approximate. Advanced registration is required for all participants whether riding the bus or driving yourself. The registration deadline is one week prior to the date of the event and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.

They will decorate a craft with paints, stencils and flower embellishments/jewels. They will also design a fun beaded bracelet with Hawaiian charms. Each participant will receive a take home outfit of a flower lei and a flowered Hawaiian skirt for photos at our Palm Tree Backdrop and props. The class ends with Maraca Freeze Dance and Limbo line!
