Finally in March there is no better way to prepare for spring with a birds vs. worm drawing sequences. On Wednesday, January 4, the Cary Park District will host a summer job fair for adults and teens seeking summer seasonal employment with the Park District. The job fair will be held at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Rd, Cary from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.
Adult and teen seasonal positions available include camp counselors, park maintenance staff, recreation instructors, marketing staff, Sunburst Bay Aquatic Center staff (guest services, admissions, concessions, lifeguards, and more) and more!
During the job fair visitors may meet Park District staff, pick up job information, complete applications, and drop off resumes.
This fair is for persons wishing to seek summer employment with the Cary Park District. No other businesses or organizations will be represented. Parents, siblings, or friends may attend the job fair and pick up information on behalf of others who are unable to attend.

Test your skills on the track at this high speed indoor go-kart track. Cary Park District will provide transportation and races at K1 Speedway in Buffalo Grove. Enjoy a day out with friends and experience something new. Trip will leave from and return to the Community Center.

Our curriculum uses age appropriate activities and games specifically designed to increase balance, body awareness, motor skills, hand eye coordination, listening skills and the ability to follow directions. The Lil’ Dribblers program includes exclusively designed equipment tailored to enhance the basket-ball experience for each participant. Through role-play and activities students learn the key re-sponsibilities of a doctor and explore the heart, lungs, and di-gestion. Students will use real medical instruments such as a stethoscope, reflex hammer, and blood pressure cuff and will practice scrubbing, suturing, and tying knots like a real surgeon. No class 1/16.

Students will explore some of the dangers in the wild such as bug bites, snake bites, and poisonous plants. This interactive class has everyone on their feet! We all learn together while engaging in active, creative, music-based activities, while using rhythm instruments and movement props. Your child will be safe, supervised, and enjoying a busy day of play on his or her day off from school. Day-off activities are open to children ages 5 - 12 years who attend District 26 and SS. Peter and Paul schools. Children do not need to be enrolled in the weekly E.T. KidZone before and after school program to participate.
Children should bring a sack lunch, drink, and appropriate outwear. Space is limited, please register early.

Learn what it takes to make theater magic happen in a fun, yet driven environment. Students audition for a role in the play, are cast by the director, and will rehearse until show time. All students are guaranteed a speaking role in the play. Students will also play games while working on impromptu, projection, and listening skills. Students must be available for all rehearsals and the performance day. Tech week will take place the entire week preceding the performance. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled as needed. Performance date is 4/28. Tech week is 4/24-4/27.

Today we will eat lunch at the Community Center and then from 12:00 - 4:00 pm we will go to Bella's Bouncies in Lake Villa. All children will need a signed waiver to participate at the facility. Waivers will be available at the sign-in table the day of the program.

Students will role play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and perform a whiskers-to-tail exam on their newly “adopted” plush cat. It’s the smile your child will have as he or she gets to explore the fun artistic world of Young Rembrandts cartooning. Your child will laugh and learn while drawing our fun superhero expressions lesson in January. Then jump for joy and spring into action with the heroic unlikely heroes lesson in February. Finally in March there is no better way to prepare for spring with a birds vs. worm drawing sequences.
