Santa's Workshop - Duke's Alehouse–
Santa's Workshop - Duke's Alehouse
“All Aboard!” Families take a train to Santa’s Workshop where Santa will be waiting to hear your wish lists. A lunch buffet is served at Santa’s request. After the meal, enjoy a visit with Santa. Don’t forget your camera to capture the memories. Then, board the train back to Cary. Fee includes activities, meal, and train tickets. Registration deadline is November 1.
Meet at the Cary train station at 11:25 am. The train leaves the station at 11:43 am. We will travel to Duke’s Alehouse and Kitchen in Crystal Lake and return to the Cary train station at 2:08 pm.

Jaycee ParkKick off the holiday season and enjoy holiday trees decorated by friends, neighbors, and groups from all over the community!
Interested in decorating a tree?
Spread holiday cheer and register your group, club, troop, neighborhood, or family and decorate a tree at Jaycee Park. One tree will be available for each registered group. Each group is responsible for their own decorations. Decorated trees will stay up for approximately four weeks. Pre-registration is required. For more information, contact Katie Tarosas 847.639.6100 x 110. Tree decorating will begin Saturday, December 2. Registered participants will receive more information after registration.

Santa’s elves will hide two dozen candy canes and a few extra mini candy canes in the front yard and leave a “You’ve Been Elfed” sign on the front door. Elfing will take place on December 13 & 15 between 10 am - 2 pm. Register for the day you would like your friends to be elfed.

Please note: The pizza lunch includes 2 slices of pizza per person and a drink. Please send an alternative/sack lunch if your child does not eat pizza. Each child will receive a 1 hour game card. All children will need to have socks for bowling.

Community Center255 Briargate RoadCary, IL 60013Over the past three years the Holiday Party in a Bag has been a huge success in providing a way for area seniors to celebrate the holidays. Seniors in the community will have the opportunity to register to receive a Holiday Party Bag!
Holiday Party in a Bag will Include:
- A complete individually packaged catered holiday meal consisting of an entree, spring mix
salad with dressing, roll with butter, dessert, milk, and a mini can of root beer or ginger ale. - Small gifts, puzzles, and treats to open.

- Please complete a registration form and return it to the Community Center with your payment
(cash or check). Or you may register online at carypark.com. Please use registration code 15072
when registering. - Fee is $5 per bag (registration is required).
- Registration deadline is 12:00 pm, Friday, December 8.
- Your Holiday Party in a Bag will be ready for pickup at the drive-up station in front of the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary on Friday, December 22 between 11:30 am-12:30 pm. All bags will be placed in your vehicle.
Sponsorship Opportunities:
As in previous years we would like to offer our community, both individuals and businesses the opportunity to sponsor this event. The sponsorship fee is $20. You may register as a sponsor by registering online at carypark.com, using registration code 15078 or by contacting the Community Center at 847-639-6100. Deadline for sponsorship is Monday, December 18.

Little Veterinarian School - Dog II–
Little Veterinarian School - Dog II
Students will role-play the key staff functions performed at a veterinary office and how to keep their “adopted” plush puppy healthy. These future veterinarians will explore digestion, the different parts of the canine eye, animal body language, and how X-rays are used to diagnose and treat common illnesses. This program will be held at the Crystal Lake Park District, 1 E. Crystal Lake Avenue in Crystal Lake.

Students will explore the roles of an athletic trainer and orthopedic surgeon and learn how to diagnose and treat common sports injuries such as sprains, strains, and athlete’s foot. These future healthcare professionals will explore the famous Tommy John (arm & elbow) surgery and make models of a hand, joint, and tendon. This program will be held at the Crystal Lake Park District, 1 E. Crystal Lake Avenue in Crystal Lake.

Our innovative approach to coding is sure to spark your child’s interest in computer science, using a kid-friendly, intuitive, block-based programming system called Scratch, developed by the MIT Media Lab. The fun filled curriculum hones important skills related to problem solving, attention to detail, creativity, storytelling, and critical thinking. Class topics include conditional statements, cloning, variables, loops, control structure, object-oriented design concepts, and data structures.

Ballet technique is used to execute movements with proper technique and body placement. Our jazz classes include several different categories including but not limited to jazz/funk, contemporary jazz, commercial jazz, and more. Hip-Hop is a style of dance constantly evolving with the culture of hip-hop music. Classes learn all different styles of hip-hop by doing different combinations each week from different genres. Dancers use some breaking moves and tricks to enhance the dances.

Learn what it takes to make theater magic happen in a fun, yet driven environment. Students audition for a role in the play, are cast by the director, and will rehearse until show time. Students must be available for all rehearsals and the performance day. Tech week will take place April 22-25. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled as needed. Performance date is April 26.
