Through the remarkable portrayal by Michelle Gibbons, June will regale us with stories of her heartwarming role as a mother to Wally and Beaver. In a journey through time, June will also shed light on the powerful and influential mothers who have left their mark on history. Spring/Summer Softball League Men's Recreational
Lions Park1200 Silver Lake RdCary, IL 60013Get your team together and compete in a recreational softball league. Depending on the number of teams, games are played at Lions Park with game times at 7:00 pm, 8:00 pm, and 9:00 pm. Each team will play each other twice. The number of teams registered in a particular league determines league formats. A single-elimination tournament will follow the end of the regular season.
Registration packets are available in the Athletics section at carypark.com and at the Community Center. A manager’s meeting will be scheduled on the first night of the league at the fields.
Teams must be able to make all time slots available for play; there are no requests for specific game times. This league is sanctioned by the National Softball Association (NSA). 60% of the roster must reside within the Cary Park District boundaries to receive the resident rate.

Did you ever see a rowing shell gliding through the water and think you’d like to give it a try? Our Adult Discover Rowing Clinics are an opportunity for anyone to get an introduction to the sport of rowing. The clinic is broken into two days. Each day includes 2-hours of information, instruction, and hand-on experience.
This class meets on Saturday, May 10 from 11:00 - 1:30 pm and Sunday, May 11 from 7:00 - 9:00 am and meets at Sweeps & Sculls Indoor Rowing, 4410 Rt. 176, Unit 14, Crystal Lake.

Make new friends and trade Pokemon cards and play a game. If you don’t have a deck, you may borrow one of ours. If you are interested in trading cards, please bring ones from your own deck. Each participant will receive two Pokemon Booster Packs to add to their collection.

You will get a passport to downtown Naperville for local shops and treats. The list of participating locations will be listed closer to the trip date. If you would like a full meal, it will be self-pay. Transportation is by Park District bus. Walking is self-paced and will be moderate to extensive. Registration deadline is April 28 and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.

Eliot, Cats, the iconic musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is a well-loved fantastical journey into the world of Jellicle Cats. The latest production explores timeless themes of identity and redemption, while keeping the unforgettable music with stirring songs like “Memory,” and “The Rum Tum Tugger.” More than 40 years since its release on Broadway, Cats enchants a new generation of audiences with its imaginative storytelling and groundbreaking theatrical flair. Light on dialog, but full of captivating dance, rousing music, and singsong poetry, the show won the Tony for Best Musical and Best Original Score. Self-pay brunch/lunch plans before we leave will be discussed and shared 2 weeks before the show. Transportation is by Park District bus. Moderate walking involved with this trip. Compete against other teams to finish the same 200 piece jigsaw puzzle with the fastest time declared the winner. You may register as an individual or as a team. Individuals will be paired with another participant on the day of. The team will keep the puzzle at the end of the event. Bring a new or gently used puzzle if you would like to participate in an optional puzzle swap.

ASL (American Sign Language) For All Ages
Players experience daily scrimmages with active instruction and tips from the coaching staff. Players are encouraged to employ skills used in football such as running pass routes, play calling, defensive positioning, fundamentals of blocking, and pass coverage. These skills and others will be put to use in a “game time” environment while the players scrimmage each week.
This program runs Wednesday, May 21-June 25 for:
3-7 Year Olds at 5:00-5:45 PM
7-12 Year Olds at 6:00-6:45 PM
13 Years & Older at 7:00-8:00 PM

Transportation by Park District bus is available for $5 (n/r $6), and leaves the Community Center at 11:15 am. Return time is approximate. Advanced registration is required for all participants whether riding the bus or driving yourself. The registration deadline is one week prior to the event date and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.
