Campfire Cooking
Food, fire, and fun all in one! It's time to go beyond roasting hot dogs on a stick. Using the group cooking method, everyone participates in starting and managing a fire, preparing food, practicing knife safety, understanding the science behind how things cook with heat, following directions, and problem solving. Plus, we will relax and socialize while spending time outdoors. Various methods of outdoor cooking are explored including stick cooking, grilling, foil packets, Dutch Oven, skillet, and griddle cooking. Parents are welcome to enjoy campfire cooked food with their student at the end of class. Today's theme is: Breakfast.
