This painting class promotes healthy bonding between a very important person (VIP) in a child’s life and that child through creative art! Join us for a special day that will leave a lifetime of memories. VIP and child each make one painting and when hung next to each other they create one masterpiece! Includes two canvases, paint, and all materials. One registration is good for VIP and child. Register to bring an additional child for an additional $10.

Come join Glitzy Girlz for a memorable night with your special sons/daughters and celebrate the love for mom. Staff will assist each couple decorating, designing and wrapping their surprises. Each couple will make and take home a spring craft that they decorate together. Special personalized gift bags will be provided. Adult must accompany participant.

Celebrate Mother’s Day this May by stepping into the enchanting world of nostalgia as we welcome a beloved television icon, June Cleaver. She’s not just your ordinary visitor – she arrives in all her pearls, an impeccable dress and those signature heels! Through the remarkable portrayal by Michelle Gibbons, June will regale us with stories of her heartwarming role as a mother to Wally and Beaver. In a journey through time, June will also shed light on the powerful and influential mothers who have left their mark on history. Registration deadline is May 1 and refunds will not be issued after the deadline.

All regularly-scheduled Board Committee Meetings are held at the Cary Park District Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary, Illinois beginning at 7:00 pm unless otherwise posted. The agenda can be found in the Park Board Meeting section or posted outside of the Community Center.

Get your team together and compete in a recreational softball league. Depending on the number of teams, games are played at Lions Park with game times at 7:00 pm, 8:00 pm, and 9:00 pm. Each team will play each other twice. The number of teams registered in a particular league determines league formats. A single-elimination tournament will follow the end of the regular season.
Registration packets are available in the Athletics section at carypark.com and at the Community Center. A manager’s meeting will be scheduled on the first night of the league at the fields.
Teams must be able to make all time slots available for play; there are no requests for specific game times. This league is sanctioned by the National Softball Association (NSA). 60% of the roster must reside within the Cary Park District boundaries to receive the resident rate.

Spin, create, and have fun! In Snapology’s Fidget Spinner Workshop, kids will design and build their very own fidget spinner, learning the science behind how it works while exploring hands-on STEM concepts. They’ll also discover creative ways to use their new spinner in everyday life – combining learning, play, and a little bit of mesmerizing fun!

Did you ever see a rowing shell gliding through the water and think you’d like to give it a try? Our Adult Discover Rowing Clinics are an opportunity for anyone to get an introduction to the sport of rowing. The clinic is broken into two days. Each day includes 2-hours of information, instruction, and hand-on experience.
This class meets on Saturday, May 10 from 11:00 - 1:30 pm and Sunday, May 11 from 7:00 - 9:00 am and meets at Sweeps & Sculls Indoor Rowing, 4410 Rt. 176, Unit 14, Crystal Lake.

Make new friends and trade Pokemon cards and play a game. If you don’t have a deck, you may borrow one of ours. If you are interested in trading cards, please bring ones from your own deck. Each participant will receive two Pokemon Booster Packs to add to their collection.
