Named for former Cary Mayor August Kraus, the Senior Center offers a wide variety of programs, events and outings for our greatest generation.

Regularly Scheduled Programs Include:

• Bingo
  Played on select Fridays from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Call the Senior Center at 847.639.8118 for dates.
• Blood Pressure Screening
  FREE blood pressure checks are provided on the first Friday of each month from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. No appointment necessary.
• Book Club
  Join the Book Club discussion group on the second Thursday of each month from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Call the Senior Center at 847.639.8118 for book titles.
• Bridge Club
  Meets on Thursday from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Bridge classes meet throughout the year.
• Canasta Club
  Meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from
  10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
• Computer Programs
  Offered free to seniors, learn computer basics taught by a knowledgeable group of volunteers. Computers can be used for personal use during open lab times. Call the Senior Center at 847.639.8118 for details.
• Craft Club
  Crafters meet every Friday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. to discuss projects and share ideas. The cost of supplies will vary.
• Crimson & Plum Divas (Red Hats)
  Meets monthly. Call the Senior Center at 847.639.8118 for details.
• Game and Social Club
  Meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 10:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m.
• Garden Club
  Meets monthly. Contact the Senior Center at 847.639.8118 for more information.
• Glee Club
  Lift your spirits and raise your voice in song. No experience necessary, no tryouts and no performance pressure. Glee Club meets weekly on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
• Golden Diners Club
  Hot lunch program sponsored by the Salvation Army served at 11:00 a.m. Monday - Friday. Suggested donation $3.50 for those 60 years and over, $6.50 for those under 60. Registration required. To join us for lunch, call the Senior Center at 847.639.8118, 24-hours in advance (by 11:00 a.m.). A monthly menu is available at the Senior Center.
• Mah Jongg Club
  Meets Tuesdays from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
• Poker Club
  Meets Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
